Deion Sanders by Joshua Brown May 1, 2023 69 Deion Sanders (born August 9, 1967), nicknamed “Prime Time” and “Neon Deion”, is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback and return specialist in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons. He played college football at Florida State University, where he was recognized as a two-time All-American with consensus All-America honors in 1988 and 1989. During his career, he won multiple Super Bowls including one with the San Francisco 49ers in 1994 and another with the Dallas Cowboys in 1995. Sanders also had brief stints playing baseball for Major League Baseball teams such as New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds & San Francisco Giants between 1989 to 2001. He became only one of few athletes ever to play both sports on a professional level during his athletic prime years from 1992 -1995 making him one of most recognizable figures across media platforms due to his unique skill set allowing him to compete on highest stages within different sporting leagues while excelling at each sport independently .
