Nevada is a state in the western United States. It borders Oregon and Idaho to the north, Utah to the east, Arizona to the southeast and California on its western border. Nevada’s capital is Carson City and its largest city is Las Vegas.

The first European Americans arrived in what would become Nevada during 1827 as part of John C Fremont’s expedition across North America for President Jackson’s administration.
