Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American politician and businessman who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021. Born and raised in Queens, New York City, he attended Fordham University for two years before transferring to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a degree in economics. He began his career at his father’s real estate company Elizabeth Trump & Son prior to establishing The Trump Organization which became one of Manhattan’s most successful business ventures.

Trump ran unsuccessfully for President twice under Reform Party ticket in 2000 and 2004 primaries but gained notoriety following appearances on television shows such as The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice.
