Mayim Bialik has announced her departure from her role as a host on the TV quiz show ‘Jeopardy!’ The renowned actor, known for her role in “The Big Bang Theory,” shared this news on her Instagram account last Friday.

In her Instagram post, Bialik conveyed, “Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!” She expressed her deep gratitude for the opportunity to have been part of the Jeopardy! family and mentioned her honor in being nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year.

In the wake of Bialik’s departure, former show champion Ken Jennings has taken on the responsibility of hosting season 40 of the syndicated show as the sole host.

Sony Pictures Television, in response to Bialik’s announcement, explained their decision to have a single host for the syndicated show in the upcoming season. This choice aims to maintain continuity for the show’s viewers, with Ken Jennings stepping into the role of the sole host for syndicated Jeopardy!. Sony also expressed their deep appreciation for Mayim’s contributions to Jeopardy! and expressed their desire to collaborate with her on primetime specials in the future.
