Pennsylvania by Joshua Brown May 1, 2023 97 Pennsylvania, commonly referred to as “PA” or the “Keystone State,” is a U.S. state located in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. The Commonwealth has a diverse geography that includes farmland, forests, rolling hills and major metropolitan areas such as Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Allentown. It was one of the original Thirteen Colonies which formed the United States in 1776; it became known for its role during both World Wars I & II due to prominent military bases like Valley Forge National Historical Park (the site of George Washington’s winter encampment). Pennsylvania is also home to Independence Hall where both American Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed into law by Thomas Jefferson et al., making it an important part of US history The population of Pennsylvania stands at around 12 million people with Philadelphia being its largest city with more than 1 million residents followed by Pittsburgh with nearly 300 thousand inhabitants respectively. Most Pennsylvanians are German descendant mostly concentrated in central region while others trace their heritage back to Irish immigrants who settled mainly along eastern borders near New Jersey/Delaware line since 1840s onwards. Other ethnic groups include Italians living predominantly on Southwestern side close2 Chicago IL area plus small pockets Polish citizens scattered throughout most parts state especially Lehigh Valley area Northampton county PA district1 . Finally there exists sizable African American communities within inner cities like Harrisburg York Reading Lancaster etc.. Economically speaking Pennsylvania enjoys strong manufacturing base encompassing steel automotive food processing mining chemicals pharmaceuticals tourism retail services finance insurance healthcare IT software development biotechnology etc… Tourism plays significant role too bringing millions visitors annually visit attractions places historic sites amusement parks national parks museums gardens theaters classic architecture landmarks festivals art galleries sporting events each year across commonwealth notably Gettysburg Battlefields Hershey Chocolate Factory Scranton Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour Presque Isle Erie County among many other popular tourist destinations all over this beautiful northeastern state America’s Heartland!
