Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder is a professional basketball team based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The franchise began play as the Seattle SuperSonics in 1967 but was relocated to Oklahoma City and renamed after its move prior to the 2008–09 season. It plays in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference in National Basketball Association (NBA). The team currently has three NBA championship appearances: 1979, 1996, and 2012; they won their only title over Miami Heat 4-1 during their last appearance.
