Lamar Jackson by Joshua Brown May 1, 2023 63 Lamar Jackson (born January 7, 1997) is an American football quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Louisville and won the Heisman Trophy in 2016. Selected by Baltimore with the 32nd overall pick in 2018 NFL Draft, he became their starting quarterback following Joe Flacco’s injury that season. Jackson had a successful rookie season, becoming only the second player since 1970 to pass for 3,000 yards and rush for 500 yards in a single year; his performance earned him Pro Bowl honors as well as Offensive Rookie of The Year. In 2019 Jackson led Baltimore to its first AFC North Division title since 2012 while breaking multiple franchise records including most passing touchdowns and highest passer rating ever achieved by a Raven’s QB.
