Election 2024 by Joshua Brown May 1, 2023 68 Election 2024 is an upcoming presidential election in the United States of America. It will be held on November 5, 2024 and will decide who serves as President for a four-year term beginning January 20, 2025. Incumbent president Donald J Trump (Republican) is ineligible to run after serving two terms because of the Twenty-second Amendment to the United States Constitution. The Republican Party has not yet nominated its candidate but potential candidates include Mike Pence, Nikki Haley and Ted Cruz. On the Democratic side potential nominees are Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders amongst others. Other possible candidates could come from third parties like Libertarian or Green party members such as Gary Johnson or Jill Stein respectively . The 2020 Census results released earlier this year showed that population growth had occurred primarily in states with higher numbers of people voting Democrat than Republican which may affect electoral vote outcomes depending on how congressional districts have been redrawn during reapportionment based on those census figures. This means that while some states may remain safely “red” (typically leaning towards Republicans over Democrats), other competitive states could shift in favor of either party due to changing demographics since 2016 when Donald J Trump won his first election victory against Hillary Clinton.. Voter registration rules across all 50 US states vary significantly so there’s likely to be much debate about what constitutes voter suppression before Election Day arrives; especially if restrictions are imposed which make it harder for certain groups like students or immigrants – both traditionally more supportive of progressive policies – from voting . In addition , given recent events with Covid19 pandemic , many officials believe mail-in ballots should become widely used by all voters rather than just as a convenience option available only in some areas thus allowing people greater flexibility where they can cast their votes without worrying about being infected by coronavirus at polling places . Despite various challenges facing democracy leading up till Election Night itself , one thing remains clear : Americans throughout nation must exercise right guaranteed them through US Constitution regardless any obstacles faced along way !
