Dallas

Dallas is the third-most populous city in Texas and the ninth-largest in the United States. It is located in North Central Texas, approximately 225 miles (360 km) north of Houston and 180 miles (290 km) east of Austin. Dallas was founded on July 28th 1841 by John Neely Bryan near a natural ford crossing along three trading trails at what became known as “The Trinity River”, named after its convergence with The West Fork and Elm Fork rivers.

Dallas has grown significantly since then, becoming one of America’s most important cities economically, culturally, socially and politically.
