Donald Trump held a rally in Waco, Texas on Saturday and he talked about an upcoming indictment from prosecutors. He said he would be vindicated and criticized the investigators. This city is famous because it was the location of a big fight between law enforcement and people who didn’t agree with them.

At the start of his rally, Trump put his hand over his heart. There was a choir singing a song called “Justice for All” and it included people who had been put in prison for their part in the Capitol event of January 6th. Big screens showed some of the footage from this event as the choir sang the national anthem and a recording of Trump saying The Pledge of Allegiance played.

At his first rally for the 2024 Presidential Election, Trump had a big show and talked about how investigations of him were unfair attacks meant to make him look bad. He said that he and his supporters would soon be vindicated and the criminals responsible for this would be disgraced.

Trump hosted an event at an airport in Waco, Texas. He wanted to use this event to help him stay popular among Republicans in the upcoming elections. The day before his rally, he made a warning that something bad might happen if he becomes the first President in U.S. history to face criminal charges.

President Donald Trump has denied any wrongdoing in regards to a secret payment made during the 2016 presidential election to an adult movie star. On Monday, the investigating grand jury is going to speak again about it. Trump said that the district attorney of Manhattan is trying to incriminate him for something that isn’t a crime, misdemeanor or even an affair.

Recently, President Trump has been using words that he also spoke of before a bunch of his supporters rioted at the Capitol to try and prevent Joe Biden from becoming president. Trump said that this past Saturday his “enemies are trying really hard to stop us” and that our “opponents want to make it difficult for us by attempting to break our spirits”.

Trump said that people tried to bring him down, but their efforts only made him stronger and the next election will be a very important one. If he wins, America will once again be free. He could soon also face prosecution because of a payment of $130,000 that was made by his lawyer during the 2016 presidential campaign.

After Donald Trump asked, Michael Cohen got money back to him and put the repayment down as a legal cost. In the end, Cohen had to go to jail because he admitted that he broke campaign finance laws and gave wrong information to Congress.

President Trump has chosen a strange place in Waco, Texas to hold his first rally. This happened on the 30th anniversary of an event that lasted 51 days and involved the U.S. government fighting with the Branch Davidians religious group, resulting in more than 80 of their members dying and 4 federal agents dead. Since then, this event has been important to far-right groups and militias.

Trump’s campaign said they did not plan the event to coincide with the anniversary of the Waco siege. A spokesperson told us that they chose this location because it is close to four big cities: Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio. It also has plenty of space for a lot of people.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick claimed that he was the one who chose Waco as the venue for President Trump’s visit. He declared that the idea of the president visiting because of its anniversary was not true at all, and shouted to the crowd, “I picked Waco!”

Donald Trump was speaking to a big crowd of people and said that he told Patrick, one of the people in the crowd, he wanted to hold his rally where lots of people were supportive. He didn’t want somewhere that had an equal number of supporters and non-supporters; instead he said he should go right into the middle of all these supportive folks.

At some points, President Trump said bad things about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. People think DeSantis is going to run for president and that he might challenge Trump in the next presidential election. Trump said DeSantis was not loyal and his popularity was dropping fast.

People at the event were holding signs with messages like “Witch Hunt”, “Trump 2024” and “I support Trump”.

Before President Trump arrived, tons of people showed up to the airport. There were vendors selling all types of Trump merchandise, like flags, stickers and dolls!

One of the people there was Eugene Torres. He was 41 years old and from Corpus Christi in Texas. Even though some people are saying that Trump could get indicted soon, Torres isn’t too worried about it. He thinks its just part of the political process to stop President Trump from winning this election again.

Alan Kregel, age 56, and his wife traveled all the way from Dallas to be able to see Trump face-to-face for the first time. Even though Alan voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 elections, he said that he did not like how Trump expressed himself with his words. But now things have changed – he is more supportive towards him than ever before.

Kregel says that Trump is an “innocent man” who has been mistreated and if there was an indictment against him, it would help him win the 2024 election.

Trump has been angrily talking about the investigation that’s happening in New York for weeks now. He even posted on social media on Friday about it, warning what will happen if he’s accused of a crime which could lead to disastrous consequences.

Last Saturday, Trump said that he was going to be arrested on Tuesday. However, that didn’t happen. He’s been using this time to influence people’s opinion of him – something he has done before during the Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.

President Trump has been encouraging his supporters to protest and using hurtful language towards Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan District Attorney. On Friday, a threatening letter with a suspicious substance was sent to Bragg’s office but it turns out not to be dangerous.

Before the letter that threatened Bragg was sent, Democrats were worried about Trump’s words. Hakeem Jeffries from New York, who is a leader of the Democrats in the House, said that it was really bad and extremely dangerous for people to listen to what he has been saying because someone could get hurt if he/she follows his lead.

President Trump is being investigated in two different places; Manhattan and Georgia. In the first case, people are looking into if he did something wrong while handling classified information or tried to block the 2020 election’s results. Meanwhile, in Georgia they want to know if he messed up on anything regarding the January 6th events. Some other people from Texas, New York, and Washington wrote about this as well.
