Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards (born July 19, 1962) is an American actor. He began his career in the early 1980s with small roles on television series such as “Family Ties” and “Top Gun”. In 1985, he landed a leading role in Steven Spielberg’s hit movie “Mystery at The Lost City of Gold.” His performance earned him critical acclaim and global recognition.

Edwards went on to star in several other films including Top Gun (1986), Miracle Mile (1988), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987) and Gotcha!(1985). From 1994-2002, he was cast as Dr Mark Greene for eight seasons on NBC’s medical drama ER which earned him multiple Golden Globe nominations. After leaving ER, Edwards continued to work steadily appearing in various projects such as Zodiac(2007) Motherhood(2009) Six Feet Under(2005-2008 )and Law & Order True Crime:The Menendez Murders.(2017).

In addition to his acting career , Edwards has been involved with numerous charities over the years including St Jude Children’s Research Hospital where he serves as National Outreach Director., Global Green USA where hHe served s Vice Chairperson from 2003 – 2011 . In 2012 Anthony founded Edwardswood Productions dedicated to creating positive media content that could make a difference around environmental issues.

Outside of his professional life , Edwards married fellow actress Jeanine Lobellin 1996 . They have two sons named Bailey born 1998 and Esme born 2002 .
