Andrew Tate house arrest release

Internet personality Andrew Tate, embroiled in allegations of rape, human trafficking, and establishing a criminal network for the sexual exploitation of women in Romania, has been granted release from house arrest, according to a statement from his representative.

However, Tate is not allowed to depart Romania.

The ruling from the Bucharest Court of Appeal follows Tate’s formal indictment in June. He, along with his brother Tristan and two Romanian women, were all implicated in the case. The group was apprehended in late December near Bucharest and all four deny the accusations leveled against them.

The court order stipulates that the defendants are under geographical restrictions, confining them to Bucharest Municipality and the neighboring Ilfov County unless granted explicit permission from a judge.

In a Twitter post following the decision on Friday, Andrew Tate wrote, “After 10 months. 3 in jail, 7 at home. After asset seizures amounting to 15 million euro. After being indicted on insubstantial grounds. The case was handed over to a Judge who deemed the evidence frail and based on conjecture. I’ve been freed from house arrest but am required to stay within Romania.”

Is it just me or the justice system seems to favor rich and influential people? he gets to be free while others rot in jail before trial. Where’s the justice in that?

Innocent until proven guilty, right? let’s wait for the court’s decision before we pass our own judgment.
