Beyoncé’s childhood home in Houston burns on Christmas morning

Beyoncé’s childhood residence in Houston was engulfed in flames during the early hours of Christmas morning, although the occupants of the house managed to safely evacuate.

The incident was reported around 2 a.m. on Monday, prompting a swift response from the Houston Fire Department, which arrived at the two-story brick house within three to five minutes, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Houston Fire Department District Chief Justin Barnes stated, “We were able to contain the fire in approximately 10 minutes,” as reported by the newspaper.

The house, located on the 2400 block of Rosedale, was purchased by Beyoncé Knowles’ family in 1982, and the renowned singer resided there until the age of 5. She was spotted capturing photographs of the property during a visit to her hometown as part of her Renaissance World Tour.

This historic residence, situated in the Riverside Terrace neighborhood, dates back to 1946.
