Tyler Buchner

Tyler Buchner (born October 24, 2001) is an American football quarterback from San Diego, California. He currently attends St. Augustine High School and plays for their varsity football team.

High school career

Buchner has attended St Augustine since his freshman year of high school in 2016-2017 as a part of the Saints’ program on both sides of the ball – playing cornerback defensively and wide receiver offensively while also being used at times as a wildcat quarterback during his sophomore season before transitioning to full time signal caller prior to his junior campaign. As a starting QB through three seasons with The Saints he’s compiled 6,068 yards passing along with 58 touchdowns against only eight interceptions over that span leading them to two CIF championships in 2018 & 2019 respectively and advancing all the way to Division 1 semi finals this past fall becoming one of only five quarterbacks in San Diego County history with multiple state titles under center . His senior season was cut short due to Covid 19 regulations but not before completing nearly 70% of passes for 2230 yds/21 TDs/2 INTs en route to yet another league title . Throughout these four years Tyler set numerous records including single game total offense (467 yds ) , most completions(23), highest completion percentage (77%) & most TD passes thrown (5 ).

College recruitment

After receiving offers from many notable programs such as USC , Notre Dame , Michigan State & Oregon by early 2020 it became clear where Tyler would be heading once graduating later that same year – University Of Notre Dame announcing via twitter on April 18th giving head coach Brian Kelly much needed depth behind returning starter Ian Book entering 2021 spring camp . Already looking like someone who can compete right away alongside other highly touted prospects like Drew Pyne or Brendon Clark given more reps should things open up soon enough accordingto 247sports composite rankings Buchner holds 4 star status coming out highschool just barely missing 5 star status ranking #4 overall dual threat passer nationwide

Personal life

When not discussing sports you can usually find Tyler doing some sortof outdoor activity either swimming surfing or skating when possible here locally around pacific beach LaJolla shores etc.. During free time he enjoys playing video games – Call Of Duty Modern Warfare being among favorites even taking part recently in various tournaments online .. Giving back whenever able whether its hosting summer camps / annual holiday dinners for less fortunate families donating money towards different charities close home making him ideal role model amongst peers
