It is composed of three branches: executive (headed by President); legislative (the State Duma and Federation Council); and judicial (Supreme Court). The president has full control over all matters pertaining to foreign policy, defense, security services and law enforcement. He also appoints members of the cabinet as well as other high level officials such as judges for the Constitutional Court and Supreme court justices. Executive Branch The Executive branch consists mainly of the President who serves as both head-of-state and head-of-government with vast powers granted in Article 111 of Constitution guaranteeing his role in setting up domestic policies on economic development, political initiatives including laws passed by parliament or vetoed by him if deemed unconstitutional; appointing key public figures like Prime Minister & Judges etc., determining international relations & defense strategy along with chairman’s leadership role within Security Council authority which determines national security threats & measures taken against them; while many decisions are made jointly between President Putin & Prime minister Medvedev after their appointment back in 2012 elections held every 6 years according to Chapter 4 Section 3 article 34 constitution making it possible that they may run again this year being last time extending presidential terms from four to six consecutively served before new election must be called allowing continuity towards progress ensuring stability throughout country during these times whether through working together directly via joint commissions established upon mutual agreement between two offices or under supervisory capacity where one will oversee activities related thereto whilst other takes direct charge depending situation at hand thus creating checks balances system meant ensure effectiveness across board without sacrificing freedoms guaranteed citizens each officeholder functioning independently respective duties assigned per Articles 93 94 95 respectively describing scope power specific roles responsibilities associated therewith stated clearly avoid miscommunication misunderstanding when dealing with issues arising amongst different departments .
