Montana State Government is the state government of Montana in the United States. It is composed of three branches: executive, legislative, and judicial. The capital city of Montana is Helena.

Executive Branch
The Executive branch consists of six elected statewide offices — Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary Of State, Attorney General ,State Auditor and Superintendent Of Public Instruction— as well as several departments overseen by appointed commissioners or directors . To be eligible to hold a statewide office one must be at least 25 years old and have been a resident for five years prior to election date . The current governor of Montana is Steve Bullock (D).

Legislative Branch
The Legislative branch consists of two houses: Senate and House Of Representatives. There are fifty senators total; forty-nine representing districts within their counties plus one senator from each county regardless its size or population composition . One hundred representatives make up the house with members being selected based on district sizes determined by population counts from decennial census reports every 10 years . Both Houses serve biennial terms which begin on odd numbered calendar year Jan 1st while session limits vary but typically run 90 days per session unless extended due to special circumstances such as proposed amendments that require voter approval before becoming law

Judicial Branch
The Judicial branch includes Supreme Court with seven justices appointed via merit selection system along with District Courts staffed by Judges chosen through elections held during general election cycles every fours years – they also preside over matters related civil claims criminal proceedings administrative appeals juvenile cases etc.. As part all this court hierarchy there’s also Probate County Courts Magistrate courts municipal circuit courts Native American tribal governing bodies providing justice services those living reservation areas ..etc All these entities tasked ensuring laws properly interpreted applied across board without bias political favoritism any other kind partiality intent upholding people’s rights protected under US Constitution MT Bill Rights alike
