Minnesota is a state in the Upper Midwest region of the United States. It is bordered by Wisconsin to the east, Iowa to the south, North Dakota and South Dakota to the west, and Lake Superior and Canada’s province of Ontario to its north. Minnesota was admitted as 32nd state on May 11th 1858. The name comes from an Ojibwe word meaning “clear blue water”.
