Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie (born 2 July 1990) is an Australian actress and producer. She first gained recognition for her role as Donna Freedman on the soap opera Neighbours, which earned her three Logie Award nominations. After moving to the United States, Robbie starred in The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), a critical and commercial success that earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In 2017, she received acclaim for portraying Tonya Harding in I, Tonya; she was nominated again at the 90th Academy Awards but lost out to Allison Janney who won Best Supporting Actress Oscar.

Robbie’s film career began with roles in independent films such as About Time (2013) and Suite Française (2014). Her performance caught the attention of Hollywood producers who casted her in key roles such as Jane Porter/Tarzan opposite Alexander Skarsgård’s Tarzan character in The Legend of Tarzan(2016). For this role she had to gain close to 10kgs so that it would be believable for someone like Jane Porter about whom we know very little about physically except from illustrations derived from books or movies over time. Following this successful part-casting came several other major Hollywood productions including Suicide Squad where Margot played Harley Quinn alongside Will Smith’s Deadshot character among others .In 2018 ,she starred alongside Brad Pittin Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time…in Hollywood playing Sharon Tate -the real life actress murdered by followers of Charles Manson cult back then! This same year also saw Robbi make history when ‘Birds Of Prey’ released worldwide making it not only one of highest grossing R rated female led movie but also the most profitable Warner Brothers Franchise Movie till date ! It went on set records domestically & overseas too thus proving what good casting can do !!! Needless say Margot has come a long way since leaving Australia !! And today stands tall amongst some big names within US Film Industry !!
