Madison Bumgarner

Madison Bumgarner (born August 1, 1989) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB with the San Francisco Giants from 2009 to 2019. With four World Series titles and three career playoff shutouts, he is one of only two pitchers in history to be named MVP of both a regular season game and a postseason series.

A native of Hickory, North Carolina, Bumgarner was drafted by the Giants out of high school with their first pick in 2007. After signing his rookie contract that same year, he debuted at age 19 as the youngest player on any active roster during the 2009 season opener. By 2010 he had become a mainstay within San Francisco’s rotation; over ten years later it remained unchanged until his departure following the 2019 season via free agency when signed by Arizona prior to 2020 campaign.
