The Los Angeles Clippers are an American professional basketball team based in the city of Los Angeles, California. They compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Pacific Division of the league’s Western Conference. The franchise was founded in 1970 as one of three expansion teams to join the NBA that year, and is currently owned by Steve Ballmer through his company Microsoft Corporation.

The team began playing their home games at San Diego Sports Arena before moving to Staples Center after its completion for 2019–20 season; they have qualified for playoffs 34 times since then, making it to six conference finals and one appearance in NBA Finals during 2014-15 season where they were defeated by Golden State Warriors 4–2 series scoreline.
