James Corden

James Corden (born James Kimberley Corden on 22 August 1978) is an English actor, comedian, writer and television host. He is best known for hosting the late-night talk show The Late Late Show with James Corden since 2015.

Early life

Born in Hillingdon, London to Margaret and Malcolm Corden; his mother was a social worker while his father worked as a musician in the Royal Air Force band based at RAF Uxbridge. As a child he attended Park Middle School and Holmer Green Upper School where he received 11 GCSEs including Drama before going on to study drama at Jackie Palmer Stage School after winning a scholarship place there.

Career

After graduating from stage school,Corden went into acting appearing in various TV shows such as Boyz Unlimited (2001–2002), Teachers (2003–2004), Little Britain (2003–2005). From 2006 until 2007 he starred alongside Mathew Horne in BBC’s Gavin & Stacey which earned him 3 BAFTA awards nominations for Best Comedy Performance throughout its run time. During this time period he also appeared films like Begin Again(2013), Into The Woods(2014)and Peter Rabbit(2018). In September 2014 it was announced that Corden had been selected by CBS to replace Craig Ferguson as the new host of US chat show The Late Late Show with James Cordon which premiered 8 March 2015 . Since taking over hosting duties ,the show has gained critical acclaim showcasing sketches suchas Carpool Karaoke featuring celebrities such Beyonce or Paul McCartney singing along popular tracks while driving around Los Angeles together with occasional appearances by special guests like Adele or Justin Bieber . His success continued when won several Emmy Awards including Outstanding Variety Talk Series 2019.,Outstanding Interactive Program 2020 and two Tony Awards for producing plays One Man Two Guvnors 2011 , A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum 2016 respectively.. In 2017 Time Magazine included him amongst their 100 Most Influential People list citing his “infectious energy” that makes viewers feel good about themselves despite being polarizing figures within comedy circuit due to relying heavily upon slapstick humour rather than creating more sophisticated gags which have alienated some critics who consider it unoriginal or outdated but still managed draw large audiences worldwide becoming one of most recognizable faces across Atlantic ocean
He currently resides Beverly Hills California alongside wife Julia Carey whom married 2012 having three children Max 7 y/o daughter 6y/o Carey 4y/o Charlotte .
