On Thursday’s final episode of CBS’s ‘The Late Late Show’, James Corden said something about the bad division in America over issues like politics and different beliefs.

“Since I was born, America has changed a lot. We had two presidents and we even experienced a global virus that caused a lot of problems everywhere. People have been complaining a lot more and the atmosphere felt very negative. But I want everyone to remember what America stands for. It’s supposed to be the place where everybody is hopeful and happy, despite it not being perfect like any other place or person.”

Just because someone has a different opinion, it doesn’t mean that they are bad or wrong. Even though there are people trying to cause drama in our differences, we should look for what’s good and fun in life. That is the main message of this show!

One year ago, Corden said that he would end his nighttime show after 8 seasons so he could go back to England and be closer to his family. His parents watched him during the last filming and even joked that his sisters were out having fun at a bar.

CBS aired a special show called “The Last Late Late Show Special”. On this show, Tom Cruise and Adele performed together. They did stunts and also sang “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from the movie “The Lion King”. Corden asked Adele if she will try to get an acting award since she already has an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and wondered if she would ever go after a Tony Award. Corden said that Adele has what it takes – the “EGO”.

“I certainly don’t think that’s happening,” Adele said with a laugh. “I would never make a musical because I really don’t like them. I feel more comfortable in my EGO.”

Harry Styles and Will Ferrell were the last guests on James Corden’s show. Harry Styles has made multiple appearances on the show and he even hosted twice. In one of these visits, James directed a music video for Styles’ song “Daylight” using only $300, and in another visit, there was an 11-minute game where James, Harry and two other celebrities faced off against Michelle Obama, Mila Kunis, Kate Hudson, Lena Waithe and Melissa McCarthy in a dodgeball match!

Styles said to Corden, “I’m so proud of you as a friend.” And he added that he was “very happy that you’re coming home”. They all hugged and celebrated their reunion.

The other late night TV hosts also said goodbye to James Corden. Meyers, Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert and Letterman were all in a video with him. They teased that since he’s leaving his show, they each get to copy one of his segments.

Everyone wanted to do Carpool Karaoke, which is a special segment hosted by James Corden. On this show he drives different celebrities around Los Angeles and they all sing songs together. Paul McCartney, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder and Chris Martin were all some of his famous guests. It became so popular that it ended up being made into its own separate show for Apple. The first episode included James Corden and Will Smith in the car, singing away!

To end the night, Corden played a song on the piano with everyone around him. He sang, “I wish I could stay here forever but deep in my heart I know it’s time to leave.” Then he said, “Thanks for watching and that’s our show!”
