Danny Masterson

Danny Masterson (born March 13, 1976) is an American actor and disc jockey best known for his role as Steven Hyde in the Fox sitcom That ’70s Show. He also appeared in several films throughout his career such as Dracula 2000, The Faculty, Idiocracy, and The Ranch.

Masterson was born in Long Island New York to Peter Masterson and Carol Masterton. His father worked a variety of jobs including acting on Broadway while his mother was a manager at Hertz car rental agency. When he was six years old his family relocated to Los Angeles where Danny attended Catholic school until high school when he transferred to public schools due to financial issues within the family.

At age 8 he began studying martial arts which eventually led him into acting after being spotted by an agent while sparring with another student during one of class sessions. During this time he took roles both on television shows like Roseanne before landing the role that would make him famous; Steven Hyde from That 70’s Show which aired from 1998-2006 earning Danny four Teen Choice Awards along with two TV Guide Award nominations over its eight season run. After leaving the show Danny went on to appear in various other projects including rom-coms My Best Friend’s Girl starring Kate Hudson and Seth Rogen‘s Observe & Report among others as well as playing recurring characters on Men At Work and Netflix‘s hit series The Ranch alongside Ashton Kutcher who also co starred with him on T7S .

Outside of film/television work Danny has been involved since 1999 with Scientology becoming somewhat of a celebrity spokesman for it appearing numerous times publicly defending it against accusations made towards them by former members or those outside looking in criticizing their practices amongst other things . In 2012 Masterson married Bijou Phillips whom had previously dated fellow Scientologist Tom Cruise who officiated ceremony held near Castle Hot Springs Arizona not far from Phoenix where they later settled down together raising two daughters Fianna Francis (2015)and Wyatt Isabelle (2017). Currently living between California ,Arizona & Utah stateside ,in 2020 Dan started supplying music via DJ gigs under moniker “DJ Mom Jeans ” often performing solo but sometimes accompanied by brother Christopher aka DJ Donkey Punch making appearances across U S cities plus some abroad most recently Paris France last spring 2021 prior Covid 19 resurgence forcing postponement further dates scheduled mid summer same year onward depending current pandemic situation..

In addition running non profit organization Voice For Children advocating children rights worldwide involving himself humanitarian causes i e Congo Fund donations etc., aside occasional tv/film cameos present day activity includes producing own feature movie Women Of Mafia shooting start June 2021 slated release December same year directed written produced Matthew Cooke featuring top talent Hollywood names Lauren Lapkus Kathy Bates Lea Thompson Judy Greer Natasha Lyonne Emily Osment Cary Elwes PJ Byrne Gia Mantegna Brittany Snow Alex Moffat Tara Summers Ashley Edner April Bowlby Janeane Garofalo Rosanna Arquette Paul Sorvino Jamie Kennedy Bill Paxton Sean Astin Michael Chiklis plus many more…
