Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers, often referred to as the Cavs, are an American professional basketball team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The team was founded as a member of the National Basketball Association (NBA) in 1970 and currently plays its home games at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in downtown Cleveland.

The Cavaliers have had some success over their history, making five NBA Finals appearances and winning one championship in 2016 with LeBron James leading the way. Other notable players who have passed through include Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Mark Price. In addition to this core group of stars from recent years there has also been many greats such as Brad Daugherty and Austin Carr that starred for them during earlier times periods dating back to when they first entered the league 50 years ago.

Since entering into existence fifty years ago under majority owner Nick Mileti on April 5th 1970 ,the Cavaliers have won eleven division titles along with seven conference championships throughout their Franchise’s history . They were led by all-time great player LeBron James from 2003–2010 & 2014–2018 where he recorded multiple MVP Awards while playing more than 1 thousand games scoring nearly 30k points placing him second overall behind only Zydrunas Illgauskus’ 14k career rebounds record among other stats records held within franchise lore .. During those eras they made it deep into playoffs reaching three consecutive finals runs ultimately culminating with a historic win over Golden State Warriors becoming city’s first pro sports title since 1964 Browns.. Following that season LeBron departed for Los Angeles Lakers leaving rebuilding efforts up new General Manager Koby Altman who brought aboard coach John Beilien followed by draft picks Collin Sexton Darius Garland plus trades which acquired veterans Andre Drummond & JaVale McGee amongst others., helping propel 2019-2020 squad return after 19 year absence post Lebron departure adding another chapter too rich tradition already established decades prior!

Currently owned by Dan Gilbert since 2005 ,Cleveland is continuing its rebuild process surrounding young duo Colin Sexton & Darius Garland hoping regain past glory sooners rather then later Today wearing wine colored jerseys carrying logo “CAVS” created 1985 can be found representing Northern Division Atlantic Conference Eastern portion well known affectionately nicknames “Land” Ohio fans everywhere hope will once again become relevant forces compete atop ranks best teams across association future endeavors!!
