The Government of Chile is the national government of the Republic of Chile, a representative democracy in South America. The Chilean head of state and chief executive is President Sebastián Piñera, who since 11 March 2018 has been elected as president for his second term.

Organizationally, the Chilean government operates as a presidential representative democratic republic whereby power is exercised by both direct election and an appointed cabinet consisting primarily of ministers chosen by the President with majority approval from Congress. It functions on three levels: central or federal authority (the Executive Branch), four regional governments (Regional Governments) and municipal authorities (Municipal Councils).

At each level there are various agencies responsible for different areas such as education, health care or transport services. All departments report to one governing body which exercises its powers through decrees issued by either itself or subordinate branches within it structure according to their respective jurisdictions. Additionally all policy makers must adhere to principles laid out in Constitution approved on 25 August 1980 but revised multiple times throughout history most recently in 2005 when several provisions were amended including those related to human rights protection and free market economy regulations amongst others .
