Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics are a professional basketball team based in Boston, Massachusetts. They compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Eastern Conference’s Atlantic Division. Founded in 1946 as one of the league’s original eight teams, the team is owned by Wycliffe Grousbeck and coached by Brad Stevens. The Celtics play their home games at TD Garden, which they share with NHL hockey franchise Boston Bruins.

One of the most successful franchises in NBA history, having won seventeen championships since its founding; nine while part of five separate dynasties from 1957 to 1986: 1957–1966 (Bill Russell era); 1969–1974 (Dave Cowens Era); 1981–1986 (Larry Bird-Kevin McHale-Robert Parish Era), 2008-2010(The Big Three featuring Paul Pierce Kevin Garnett Ray Allen Era). With 21 Hall Of Fame Inductees including Bill Russell , Bob Cousy , Larry Bird , Robert Parrish and more recently Paul Pierce . The Celtics have been credited for ushering “a new age” or “golden age” into American sports culture due to it being an integral part that helped popularize modern day basketball alongside other major U.S cities like New York City and Los Angeles during it’s historic dynasty run spanning three decades between 1950 – 1980 .
