Bebe Rexha

Bebe Rexha (born August 30, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. She began her music career as a part of the band Black Cards in 2010, then turned solo in 2013 with the release of “I Can’t Stop Drinking About You”, which was later certified triple platinum by RIAA. Since then she has released two studio albums – Expectations (2018) and Better Mistakes (2021).

Rexha’s musical style can be described as pop and EDM, but also incorporates elements of hip hop and country. Her songs often focus on female empowerment themes such as self-love or being strong despite heartbreak. She has been nominated for numerous awards including three Grammy Awards – Best New Artist for “Meant To Be” in 2018; Record Of The Year for “The Monster” featuring Eminem; and Song Of The Year at 2017 Billboard Music Awards for “Meant To Be”.

In addition to her own releases, Rexha has written songs for other artists such as Selena Gomez (“Same Old Love”), Rihanna (“Monster”) David Guetta & Nicki Minaj (“Hey Mama”). She has collaborated with several high profile acts including G-Eazy, Florida Georgia Line , Louis Tomlinson & Digital Farm Animals . Her latest collaboration is with Doja Cat called Baby I’m Jealous.

Outside of music she briefly ventured into acting appearing alongside Cardi B in Single Parents episode titled ‘Single Mothers Day’. Additionally she serves as an ambassador to UNICEF since 2019 helping promote awareness about child rights issues around the world while working closely with their team on projects like #KidsTakeOver campaign that encourages children from all over globe take lead role when it comes to making decisions that affect them most directly .

In 2021 amid COVID pandemic Rexha opened up about her struggles against anxiety disorder during Quibi series For Real: The Story Behind Mental Health documentary short film where she explained how therapy helped regain control over life once again after years long battle against depression caused by constant public scrutiny related to body image standards set by entertainment industry . Besides mental health advocacy work , throughout last few months artist actively participated within Me Too movement initiatives raising voice towards injustice stemming from sexual harassment cases while speaking out publicly via social media platforms Twitter / Instagram accounts regularly expressing support towards survivors worldwide
