Astro

Astro (stylized as ASTRO) is a South Korean boy band formed by Fantagio that debuted in 2016. The group consists of six members: MJ, JinJin, Cha Eunwoo, Moonbin, Rocky and Sanha. They are known for their “space” concept which involves creating music with unique sounds to give off an otherworldly vibe.

The group was first announced on July 13th 2016 through the introduction video of each member (MJ, Jinjin and Cha Eunwoo). Astro made their official debut performance at the KCON festival in Los Angeles on August 5th with the single Hide & Seek from their mini-album Spring Up. In October they released Autumn Story along with its title track Breathless and held a showcase tour throughout Asia titled “2016 ASTRO Showcase Tour – Invitation From Nature” starting November 12th in Seoul followed by stops in Shanghai China; Taipei Taiwan; Bangkok Thailand; Osaka Japan and Tokyo Japan before wrapping up December 11th also back in Seoul .
After appearing as guests performers on various shows during 2017 such as SBS Inkigayo or MBC Music Core , Astro made comeback again May 29 2018 releasing Rise Up Single album along its lead song Always You . After this release the group embarked into another international tour named “2018 STARLIGHT TOUR” visiting countries like Mexico City Mexico ; New York USA ; Toronto Canada ; Sao Paulo Brazil among others . On June 20 2019 Crazy Sexy Cool EP was released alongside All Night Song making it one of most successful releases ever achieving #1 spots across major digital platforms such as Bugs Genie Melon Naver Music Olleh Soribada iTunes AppleMusic etc

In 2020 despite pandemic situation affecting all aspects worldwide , Astro kept active participating not only solo but also collective activities within Fantagio family including photo shoots variety show appearances web series production OSTs Digital singles collaborations between them etc … 2021 will be marked specially because after almost 3 years since last studio album Gateway came out fans can finally enjoy new songs under upcoming project GATEWAY : REBOOT scheduled for April
