Aaron Rodgers (born December 2, 1983) is an American football quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). A four-time Pro Bowl selection, Rodgers was selected by Green Bay in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He won Super Bowl XLV with them over his childhood favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Rodgers attended California’s Pleasant Valley High School and then went on to attend Butte Community College before transferring to University of California at Berkeley where he played college football for two years under head coach Jeff Tedford. In 2007, Aaron led Cal Bears to their most successful season since 1949. His accomplishments earned him awards such as All Pac-10 honors and MVP award from Cal’s bowl game victory against Texas A&M in 2004 Holiday Bowl; both were school records set during his time there.
