Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs accused of sexual abuse by two more women

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing further allegations of sexual abuse, as two additional women have come forward with lawsuits. These new legal actions emerged shortly after Combs settled a separate lawsuit with singer Cassie, which contained accusations of rape and physical abuse.

Both of the recent lawsuits were filed just before the expiration of the Adult Survivors Act in New York, which grants victims of sexual abuse a one-year window to file civil claims regardless of the statute of limitations.

The legal filings provide disturbing details of sexual assault, physical violence, and forced drugging allegedly perpetrated by Combs during the early 1990s when he was a talent director, party promoter, and emerging figure in New York City’s hip-hop scene.

One of the accusers, Joi Dickerson, claimed that in 1991, as a 19-year-old student at Syracuse University, she agreed to meet Combs at a Harlem restaurant. Following their date, Combs allegedly “intentionally drugged” her and subsequently sexually assaulted her. Shockingly, Combs purportedly videotaped the assault without her knowledge and shared it with several acquaintances in the music industry. This public exposure led to severe depression, hospitalization, and her dropping out of college.

In a separate lawsuit filed concurrently, an unnamed woman (referred to as Jane Doe) accused Combs and R&B singer Aaron Hall of sexually assaulting her and a friend, followed by a physical assault several days later. The alleged incidents occurred after a music industry event in 1990 or 1991.

According to Jane Doe’s account, she was coerced into having sex with Combs, and then Hall forcibly had sex with her after barging into the room where she was getting dressed. Jane Doe later discovered that her friend had also been forced into a sexual encounter with Combs and Hall in another room.

Days later, an enraged Combs reportedly visited the women’s home in an attempt to prevent them from speaking out about the abuse. The lawsuit claims he choked Jane Doe until she lost consciousness during this visit.

Combs’ spokesperson, in an emailed statement, denied these allegations, accusing the two women of exploiting the temporary extension of the statute of limitations under New York law.

Tyrone Blackburn, the attorney for Jane Doe, indicated that his client is gathering medical records and witness statements to support her lawsuit, filed to preserve the statute of limitations.

The lawsuit brought by Joi Dickerson mentions that she had filed police reports in both New York and New Jersey after the alleged abuse, but it’s unclear which other jurisdictions these reports may have been filed in. Inquiries to the New York City Police Department were not immediately answered.

The allegations included drug use, severe beatings, and forced participation in sexual acts with male prostitutes while Combs filmed. Ventura also alleged rape when she attempted to end the relationship in 2018. This lawsuit was settled for an undisclosed amount, with both parties expressing a desire to resolve the matter amicably.
