According to the Massachusetts State Police, a member of the New England Patriots was apprehended on Friday evening at a security checkpoint in Boston’s Logan Airport after two firearms were discovered in their carry-on bag.

The individual in question, identified as 25-year-old Jackie K. Jones from Arizona, had intended to travel from Boston to Arizona, as reported by WCVB-TV.

Law enforcement responded to Terminal B’s Transportation Security Administration security checkpoint at approximately 5:30 p.m. following the detection of two firearms inside a passenger’s carry-on luggage. After confirming the traveler’s identity as Jones, the police promptly arrested him.

Jones is now confronted with several charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, and possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card, as stated by the police. Following his booking at the State Police Logan Airport Barracks, bail was set at $50,000.

Currently, it remains unknown whether Jones has legal representation to provide a comment on his behalf. Police have revealed that his arraignment at the East Boston District Court is scheduled for the following week.
