GAINING THE UPPER HAND

The Bears secured a 19-13 lead late in the third quarter. Capitalizing on a Lions offside penalty, Fields connected with Moore for a 38-yard touchdown. Following a blocked extra point attempt, Chicago regained possession after recovering a fumbled snap, leading to Fields scoring from the 11-yard line, extending their lead to 25-13.

Chicago’s defense then made a crucial stop, leading to a Cairo Santos field goal that solidified the Bears’ control of the game.

Defensive end Montez Sweat described the team’s defensive effort as a poetic culmination of strain and strategy. Moore’s six receptions for 68 yards and a 16-yard rushing touchdown on the opening drive contributed significantly to the Bears’ offense.
