Bronny James, the son of NBA legend LeBron James, was admitted to a hospital following a cardiac arrest while at a University of Southern California basketball training session, according to a family representative on Tuesday.

The representative reported that medical teams immediately attended to 18-year-old James at the scene on Monday. He was then transported to a hospital where he was confirmed to be in a stable condition on Tuesday after leaving the ICU.

The spokesperson requested respect and privacy for the James family during this time, and promised to share updates with the media as and when appropriate. “LeBron and Savannah extend their profound gratitude to the USC medical and athletic team for their remarkable dedication and commitment to the welfare of their athletes.”

In May, Bronny James declared his intention to join USC for college basketball. As an incoming freshman, he was one of the country’s top high school prospects.
