Zach Braff

Zach Braff (born April 6, 1975) is an American actor, director, producer and screenwriter. He is best known for his role as J.D. in the medical comedy-drama series Scrubs (2001–2010), for which he was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2005 and won consecutive People’s Choice Awards from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, he has appeared on television shows such as Manhattan Love Story (2014) and The Exes (2011). His film roles include Garden State (2004), The Last Kiss(2006), Open Hearts(2002) and Oz the Greatand Powerful(2013).

Braff began his career performing stand-up during high school at North Shore synagogue camp “Young Judea” with comedians like Sarah Silverman before moving to Los Angeles when he was 18 years old to pursue acting opportunities there. After studying abroad at Stony Brook University while starring on Broadway musicals including Bullets Over Broadway, High Fidelity alongside John Cusack ,Man of La Mancha among others; Braff returned back home where he got casted by Bill Lawrenceon NBC’s hit showScrubsfor which Braff served as both lead actor & executive producer until its final season ending May 2010 after 9 successful seasons . Following this success , Zach wrote directed produced & starred in feature films including “Garden State” released 2004 followed by 2006 release “The Last Kiss” then 2013 Disney movie “Oz:The Great&Powerful” Zac also made appearances on TV shows like ABC sitcom ‘ManhattanLoveStory’ along with many other independent productions over recent years such us In Dubious Battle alongside Selena Gomez James Franco & Robert Duvall ; Going In Style Featuring Morgan Freeman Alan Arkin & Michael Caine just recently released 2017 Netflix Original Movie Wish I Was Here co written Directed Produced Starring Zach himself .
