Tyson Walker

Tyson Walker (born December 18, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Northwestern University.

Early life and high school career
Walker was born in Stoughton, Massachusetts to parents Anthony and Ami Walker. At a young age he developed a passion for sports, particularly baseball and football. By his junior year of high school at South Shore Christian Academy he had begun playing varsity-level basketball as well. As a senior in 2018–19, he averaged 25 points per game while leading the team to an appearance in the MAISAD state tournament finals; earning him All-State honors from both MaxPreps and NEPSAC as well as being named MVP of his conference’s all-star game that season. In addition to this individual success on the court, Tyson also helped lead SSCA’s boys’ soccer team to their first ever championship during his time there.
Walker then attended Brewster Academy where Coach Jason Smith gave him opportunities against some of New England’s top prep teams such as Woodstock Academy & Tilton School resulting in offers from various NCAA Division I programs across America including Harvard & Yale before eventually committing with Northwestern University following graduation from Brewster Academy prior to entering college ball..

College career At Northwestern Walker immediately made an impact on offense averaging 15 PPG over 33 games appearing off bench throughout freshman campaign whilst shooting 42% FG/33% 3P%. During sophomore season under Head Coach Chris Collins saw further improvements along with heightened expectations only interrupted by shutdown due mid COVID pandemic which ultimately forced NU out post season play despite finishing 8th overall Big Ten Conference regular season standings 2020–21 was arguably best collegiate performance yet posting 17 PPG/4 APG on 44/38 splits starting 20+ games through course semester however injuries late caused end be cut short missing final month action nonetheless most important development came form maturing mindset allowing take next step pro level soon after .

Professional career In July 2021 Tyson declared entry NBA draft without agent guaranteeing return if desired but quickly signed representation shortly thereafter securing 1st round pick status amongst early projections come June 22nd night selection ceremony held Barclays Center Brooklyn NY later that summer concluding successful stretch 4 years growth both personal professional terms putting stamp mark Midwest finally ready make move major league stage going forward .
