Tennessee Volunteers men’s basketball by Joshua Brown May 1, 2023 45 The Tennessee Volunteers men’s basketball team represents the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. The school competes in NCAA Division I as part of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Hall of Famer Pat Summitt served as head coach from 1974 until her retirement following the 2011-2012 season; she was succeeded by current head coach Rick Barnes who is entering his fifth year at Tennessee for 2019–20.
