It is a form of education that encompasses various approaches for delivering information and helping students develop their skills in order to reach desired goals. Teaching can take place in different settings, including but not limited to schools, universities and workplaces. Teachers may also teach informally outside such formal domains by providing individualized lessons or tutorials. History The origins of teaching can be traced back as far as ancient civilizations where elders would pass on wisdom and knowledge to younger generations orally through stories and rituals while modern day schooling began with Plato’s Academy around 387 BC which was followed by Aristotle’s Lyceum in 335 BC – both considered the first educational institutions ever established. Since then, many other types of learning models have been developed over time such as Montessori Method (1907) , Dalton Plan (1920), Reggio Emilia Approach (1945) among others . With advances made in technology particularly after World War II , innovative methods like flipped classrooms , distance learning etc came into existence making it easier for teachers to deliver lessons more effectively regardless location constraints . Skills Required For A Teacher To become an effective teacher requires certain skills like communication ability , creativity/adaptability when dealing with diverse student population along with being able understand & assess student progress accurately so that they could provide adequate feedback accordingly . Further qualities essential include patience & understanding towards learners needs especially those who require special support due focus on diversity now prevalent within classrooms today across globe thus ensuring successful outcomes are achieved overall throughout duration course taken up.. Additionally having strong subject matter expertise helps lesson delivery even better plus developing good rapport amongst those involved goes long way too without fail! Contemporary Trends In Education In recent times much emphasis has been placed upon using digital tools help facilitate classroom activities this includes everything from online assignments quizzes videos podcasts chat forums interactive whiteboards etc all designed enhance engagement level between instructor-learner meanwhile also enabling them access material easily anytime anywhere basis no matter what device used current trend encourages development apps mobile devices increase efficiency levels save precious resources cost perspective too!
