Sports in Asia is a broad topic that encompasses many different types of sports and games. The sport most popularly played throughout the continent is cricket, but other sports are also widely enjoyed by people all over Asia. Soccer (or football) is becoming increasingly popular throughout much of East and South-East Asia while basketball has grown to become one of the major professional leagues in China.
