Saudi Arabia government by Joshua Brown May 1, 2023 44 Saudi Arabia is a monarchy government, which means that it is ruled by one family. The current leader of the country is King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who ascended to the throne in 2015 after his half-brother, King Abdullah passed away. He rules along with an appointed Council of Ministers and Royal Court staff. The combined legislative and executive body in Saudi Arabia consists of a cabinet led by the prime minister (currently Mohammad bin Nayef) selected from members of House of Saud, as well as Majlis al Shura – Consultative Council representing various social segments including religious scholars, businessmen and tribal elders who advise on political issues but have no power over legislation or policy implementation . These councils are also consulted prior to new laws being passed. In addition there are several other advisory bodies such as Supreme Economic Council chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman; National Security council; National Anti-Corruption Commission etc., all headed ultimately by king himself Sharia law forms basis for legal system governing both civil & criminal matters however modern commercial codes exist alongside Islamic jurisprudence thus allowing foreign investors access to some degree protection under international law when needed while keeping their operations within certain limits set out in Sharia code. To ensure compliance with these regulations Ministry Of Justice administers court systems throughout kingdom & its judicial branch includes specialized courts like Board Of Grievances which handles administrative disputes between individuals/government entities without resorting court proceedings.. Government also appoints judges based upon recommendations made through Higher Judicial council formed 1979 under late King Fahd’s reign giving them great autonomy since then even though they still take orders from royal palace when necessary Additionally Specialised Criminal Courts handle crimes related terrorism drug trafficking human smuggling etc protecting public order through strict punishments imposed against offenders due gravity these offences hold society providing sense security citizens need live peacefully prosperous lives In conclusion Saudi Arabian government has been largely successful maintaining stability nation despite challenges presented internal external enemies thanks strong leadership support given people form powerful institutions put place regulate conduct affairs promote development progress open dialogue facilitate understanding different cultures faiths further strengthening ties among nations region world
