Ronald Greene by Joshua Brown May 1, 2023 55 Ronald Greene (born November 10th, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Early life and college career Greene grew up in Detroit, Michigan where he attended St. Joseph High School before going on to play college basketball at Xavier University from 2009-2012. During his senior season with Xavier, Greene averaged 11 points per game while shooting 44 percent from three point range which earned him All-Atlantic10 honors as well as being named to ESPN’s All-American team. Additionally during this time period Ronald also received Academic Honors from both Atlantic10 and Big East Conferences due to his consistent excellence in academics throughout his collegiate career. Professional Career In June 2012 Ronald Greene was drafted with pick 33 overall by Minnesota Timberwolves but did not make their final roster after failing a physical examination prior to training camp that year; however later that same day he signed a contract with Los Angeles Lakers and appeared briefly in two preseason games before being waived again shortly afterwards when they decided against signing him for regular season competition .
