Roger Federer

Roger Federer (born 8 August 1981) is a Swiss professional tennis player who is currently ranked world No. 4 in men’s singles tennis by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). He has won 20 Grand Slam singles titles—the most in history for a male player—and has held the world No. 1 spot in the ATP rankings for a record total of 310 weeks, including 237 consecutive weeks at one point from 2004 to 2008, which ranks as an all-time record too. He also holds several records within his sport, some of which are still yet to be broken such as: being among eight men to have captured a career Grand Slam; having reached each Grand Slam final at least five times; and appearing in four Olympic finals matches since making his debut back in 2000 when he was just 19 years old.

Federer began playing on the junior tour shortly after turning pro and quickly rose up through the rankings with impressive performances against top players like Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi and then Rafael Nadal whom he often faced off against during their highly competitive rivalry from 2005–2010 that saw them winning numerous grand slam titles between themselves while they were both considered amongst two greatest ever players competing against each other simultaneously during this era within men’s professional tennis circles worldwide respectively without question or dispute whatsoever!

In 2003 Roger became first man since Mats Wilander (in 1988) to win three majors consecutively when he took out Wimbledon & U.S Open events back-to-back followed closely by Australian Open success next year – something only achieved once before him throughout whole history major tournaments dating all way back until 1877 officially recognized modern day championships around globe today even though there have been much older versions known prior but not officially recorded therefore unable count towards current standings legally accepted form according International Tennis Federation regulations governing sports official competitions globally these days unfortunately so don’t expect any changes anytime soon either sadly enough honestly speaking truthfully myself personally…
