Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon (born Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon; March 22, 1976) is an American actress, producer and entrepreneur. The recipient of several awards including Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and Primetime Emmy Awards for her acting in films such as Legally Blonde (2001), Walk the Line (2005), Wild (2014). She was recently seen starring alongside Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley in Big Little Lies(2017-present).

Born in Louisiana to parents who worked on oil rigs during the 1980s recession period, she found success after appearing as a child star playing Dani Trant in The Man In The Moon (1991). While studying English literature at Stanford University from 1994 to 1998 she continued working with small roles that eventually led up to her breakout performance as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde which made over $300 million worldwide. Her other major works include Sweet Home Alabama(2002), Vanity Fair(2004), Water For Elephants(2011) and Gone Girl(2014).

In addition to being an actor Reese also produces movies like Gone Girl through her production company Pacific Standard Films. Other than producing some of Hollywood’s biggest hits such as Wild or Hot Pursuit , it has also been involved with projects aimed towards empowering women by increasing their presence within film industry both behind the scenes & on screen . To this effect , Reese co founded female focused media brand Hello Sunshine dedicated entirely to telling stories about “Real Life Women” .

Apart from all these accomplishments ,Witherspoon has had tremendous influence when it comes fashion trends too – having been named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People Of 2006 due largely because of her work/partnership with luxury brands like Avon cosmetics where she served global ambassador role for 10 years along side creating lifestyle line Draper James inspired by southern style & values featuring clothing accessories home decor etc..

As far philanthropy goes ,She serves board member position at Children’s Defense Fund while actively supporting causes related poverty alleviation education health care etc…Currently living Los Angeles area –reese is married Jim Toth since 2011 & mother 3 children : daughter Ava Elizabeth born 1999 son Deacon Phillippe born 2003& Tennessee James 2013
