Pakistan Government is the federal government of Pakistan that exercises executive powers in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The government includes three branches: legislative, executive and judicial. It was established after independence from British rule in 1947 as a parliamentary system with its head of state being an elected president and it has since evolved into a semi-presidential system.

The current Prime Minister is Imran Khan who came to power through general elections held on 25 July 2018 by securing most seats out of 342 seats available for National Assembly (lower house of parliament). He had previously served as Chairman or Leader (as known locally)of opposition political party PTI which he founded back in 1996.

Legislature – Parliament consists two houses; Senate & National Assembly both have equal authority but certain subjects are reserved exclusively for one house only i.e., Money Bills can be introduced only in lower House while upper House can exercise its authority over other bills including constitutional amendment bills with consent from Lower House if necessary before they become law/act etc.. There are 104 senators currently representing all four provinces plus Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Islamabad Capital Territory and Gilgit Baltistan region appointed indirectly either by provincial assemblies or President himself depending upon type & quota set forth under constitution thus making total strength 204 members out of 217 comprising both Houses combined . This number also include women representation fixed at 17% required constitutionally for each assembly though actual percentage may vary proportionately based on total membership size at any given time due to subsequent changes made following General Elections etc..

Executive Branch – Head Of State /President is commander-in chief having ceremonial role along with discretionary powers such as appointment’s , pardon’s, legislation promulgation’s etc.. Currently Dr Arif Alvi holds this position whereas Prime minister heads his cabinet consisting ministers nominated by him followed by approval process carried out collectively among both Houses either separately or jointly depending upon requirement stipulated under relevant Act/Law passed earlier will full consensus among all stakeholders involved ..

Judicial branch – Supreme Court acts as apex court responsible for administering justice across whole country whose Chief Justice called Honorable Mr Justice Asif Saeed Khosa serves this office now days though there exist numerous High courts across Provinces too exercising their jurisdiction within respective Region(s) …
