The Minnesota Twins are an American professional baseball team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Twins compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member of the Central Division of the American League (AL). The franchise was founded as one of two expansion clubs in 1961 and is named after Twin Cities. Since then, they have won three World Series championships (1987, 1991, and most recently 2010), four AL pennants (1965 1965 1987 1991 2009), six division titles (1969 1970 1987 1991 2002 2003 2004 2006 2009 2019 2020 2021) and fourteen Wild Card berths.

The Twins play their home games at Target Field located near downtown Minneapolis; it has been their home since 2010 when they left Metropolitan Stadium after spending 28 years there. Their former stadium had hosted them for twelve seasons before that from 1961 to 1981 when it was known as Metropolitan Stadium or “the Met”.

The current manager is Rocco Baldelli who took over prior to the 2019 season replacing Paul Molitor who had managed from 2015-2018 bringing back much success with multiple playoff appearances including a wild card berth during his tenure but ultimately falling short each time of making it into the World Series. This led to him being replaced by another great leader on behalf of Baldelli whom quickly changed up some aspects within organization hoping for better outcomes this time around which he achieved with reaching both playoffs consecutively during his first 2 seasons managing under him while winning top honors becoming Manager Of The Year Award Winner In 2019 & 2020 Respectively While also Bringing Home His First ALCS Apperance As Well As An NLDS Berth During That Span With A Potential To Reach More If Things Stay On Course For Them Moving Forward!

Their uniforms feature red pinstripes against white backgrounds complete with navy blue caps topped off by a unique script logo featuring “Twins” written out across their chests – all paying homage to their history dating back more than 50 years ago when these colors were popularized among teams throughout MLB thanks largely due fan support early days leading up until now where its still considered iconic look amongst other franchises competing today!
