Manny Machado

Manny Machado (Born July 6, 1992) is an American professional baseball infielder for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Dodgers. A four-time All-Star, he has won two Gold Glove Awards and three Platinum Glove Awards. He was a first round draft pick out of high school by the Orioles in 2010 and made his major league debut that same year.

Machado attended Brito Miami Private School before enrolling at Marlins Park, where he became one of their top players as a freshman. As a sophomore he improved on all aspects of his game hitting .639 with 11 home runs while stealing 30 bases with only seven strikeouts to earn several accolades including player of the year honors from numerous outlets such as USA Today High School Sports and Perfect Game America among others; additionally being named Gatorade National Player Of The Year during this season. After another successful campaign playing summer ball after his junior season Machado was drafted third overall by Baltimore in 2010 First Year Players Draft becoming just second position player taken behind Bryce Harper who went number one to Washington Nationals that same day..

In 2012 Manny debuted professionally playing shortstop for Double-A Bowie Baysox batting .266/.352/.438 over 98 games earning himself selection to Eastern League midseason All Star team but more importantly helping him reach majors less than two years since signing contract with O’s ending 2011 season back at Triple-A Norfolk Tides posting impressive numbers once again showing great plate discipline walking 44 times compared to 53 strikeouts through 108 contests leading up callup August 9th against Kansas City Royals replacing injured Jj Hardy.. During six plus seasons spent wearing black & orange Manny accumulated many accomplishments winning three consecutive AL Rawlings Golden Gloves awards starting 2013 thru 2015 also taking part four midsummer classics making last appearance 2017 representing Orioles alongside Jonathan Schoop which later turned into trade sending him West Coast joining Los Angeles Dodgers ..
