Lizzy Caplan

Lizzy Caplan (born June 30, 1982) is an American actress. She is best known for her roles in the television series Freaks and Geeks, True Blood, Masters of Sex and Party Down as well as film appearances such as Mean Girls, Cloverfield, Hot Tub Time Machine and Now You See Me 2.

Early life

Caplan was born on June 30th 1982 in Los Angeles California to parents Richard Caplan a lawyer and Barbara Bragman a political aide. Raised Jewish she attended Alexander Hamilton High School where she developed an interest in acting after joining the school’s improvisation troupe. At 18 years old Caplan moved out of her family home to pursue opportunities within the entertainment industry with no formal education or experience under her belt all that mattered was sheer determination which eventually landed her at auditions for major productions including 1999s hit teen movie “She’s All That” however it wasn’t until 2000 when Lizzy became part of Judd Apatow’s cult classic show “Freaks & Geeks” playing high school student Sara Spooner did we start to get glimpse into what Lizzys talent has been able to bring us since then!

“It felt like I had won some lottery,” said Caplan about being casted on Freaks & Geeks during an interview with MTV News back in 2013.”I think my character kind of enabled me to be more comfortable because there were so many people who could relate — you know? It just made me feel really lucky”.

Over past two decades ,Caplans career has gone from strength-to-strength appearing numerous films such as 2004 s Mean Girls alongside Lindsay Lohan followed by 2008s critically acclaimed drama The Last House On The Left .2009 saw another big screen success upon release fo Jj Abrams hit monster flick Cloverfield before returning back onto our screens via HBO’S vampire drama True Blood between 2009 -2014 portraying Maurella;a powerful faery Queen but most notably 2014 onwards marks huge milestone for lizzy caplin thanks hugely due too Showtime’s smash period piece MASTER OF SEX winning praise among critics leading up towards Golden Globe nomination ! With over twenty credits behind this versatile actresses name its clear why Hollywood have come calling again resulting 2018 Netflix movie Extinction starring Michael Pena giving us yet another memorable performance from this incredible artist once described by Vogue magazine as one “The Most Fascinating Women In Entertainment Today “. And here comes 2020 already seeing releases set amongst star studded casts including military action thriller 6 Underground directed by Micheal Bay ..Not bad huh !!

Personal Life/Trivia Despite living majority of adult life surrounded by fame managed keep personal matters private although fans may recall mentioning relationship status now fiancé Tom Riley at 2019 Emmy awards ceremony saying ‘I’d also like thank my beautiful fiancéTommy whom without his love support none if this would ever happened ‘ .Asides from acting hobbies include writing music ,dancing swimming hiking travelling across Europe something clearly enjoyed judging previous blog posts shared online..Although having appeared various movies television shows next project remains unclear future certainly looks bright whatever decide do next!!
