Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders are a professional American football team based in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The Raiders compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The club was founded on January 30, 1960 and began play in Oakland, California during its first three seasons before relocating to Los Angeles for 22 years from 1982 through 1994. In 1995, they returned to their original city of Oakland before announcing relocation plans to relocate again – this time to Las Vegas – on March 27, 2017.

Prior to beginning play at Allegiant Stadium in 2020, the team has been known by several nicknames over their 60 year history including “the Silver & Black,” “Team of Decades” and most recently “Raider Nation” among others due largely to great fan support both locally and nationally throughout various stages of franchise development and success.

The Raiders have won three Super Bowl championships; one while playing home games at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park (XI), another while occupying Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (XV), plus another when calling Network Associates Coliseum/Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum home field(XXXVII). This makes them one of only two teams that have won multiple titles since moving away from its initial location or rebranding itself under different name or logo—the other being Washington Redskins who have also moved locations twice since 1937 but managed 3 NFL Championships prior 1966 merger with AFL teams which would eventually help establish current 32 franchises setup within 2 conferences consisting 4 divisions each .

As members AFC West division ,Raiders annually battle against Denver Broncos , Kansas City Chiefs & LA Chargers all trying secure place into playoffs every season – an endeavor they’ve achieved 14 times out 15 playoff appearances across nearly 6 decades worth competitive action not including 20+ winning campaigns totaling 572 wins & 455 losses across regular season match ups along way so far..

Despite historically strong reputation having appeared numerous sports publications books shows films television series comic strips etc., recent decade saw franchise take steps back resulting less optimal win loss record compared previous chapter defined much more successful period marked 13 consecutive postseasons qualifiers between 1998 2019 making those glory days fond memory many fans worldwide who still look forward cheering favorite squad once return triumphant form after move 2021 onward…
