Jimmy Garoppolo

Jimmy Garoppolo (born November 2, 1991) is an American football quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Eastern Illinois and was drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. After sitting behind Tom Brady during his first two seasons with the team, he was traded to San Francisco prior to the 2017 season.

Garoppolo has since enjoyed a successful stint as starting quarterback for San Francisco. In 2019, he led them to Super Bowl LIV where they lost 31–20 against Kansas City; however, he earned praise from fans and media alike for his performance throughout that entire season. He also set multiple single-season franchise records including most passing yards and touchdowns in a single season en route to being named PFWA Offensive Player of Year Award winner in 2019.
