Hawaii state government by Joshua Brown May 1, 2023 54 Hawaii State Government is the governmental structure of the U.S. state of Hawaii as established by the Constitution of Hawaii and defined by Title IX, Chapter 4, Part I (Legislative) and Part II (Executive) & Part III (Judicial Branch). The state government consists of three branches: executive, legislative, and judicial. The Executive branch is headed by a Governor who acts on behalf of the people to enforce laws within its jurisdiction; it includes other elected officials such as Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Auditor and so forth that are responsible for various departments in order to provide services like public safety or education to citizens. The Legislative branch consists of two houses – Senate composed with 25 members each representing one district for four-year terms; House which has 51 representatives serving two-year terms from their respective districts across island – both chambers decide upon bills that become law after being signed by governor or if vetoed can be overridden with majority vote from both houses combined together called “Conference Committee” . Lastly Judicial Branch which interprets laws when cases come before them through trial court system including Supreme Court at top level whose justices serve during good behavior until retirement age set 70 years old – all decisions made here have power over lower courts but must comply with US constitution’s federal law supremacy clause since states cannot pass any legislation contradicting national policies regarding rights etc.. Overall Hawaiian governorship functions under principles democracy where sovereignty lies within people while taking into account cultural values traditions practiced around islands enabling fair representation decision making process throughout legislature itself down administrative levels ensure best interests society are taken care properly without neglecting individual liberties due respect those should receive living free democratic nation land sea alike…
