Green Bay

Green Bay is a city in and the county seat of Brown County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, at the head of Green Bay, a sub-basin of Lake Michigan, at the mouth of the Fox River. The population was 104,057 at the 2010 census.[1] It is located 581 feet (177 m) above sea level and 112 miles (180 km) north of Milwaukee. The City forms the core population center for its metropolitan statistical area called Greater Green Bay which has an estimated total population as high as 320,000 people according to some estimates[2].

Green Bay is home to several major industries including papermaking; meatpacking; food processing; automotive assembly; printing/publishing along with other manufacturing plants such as metal fabrication and plastics production.[3] In addition to these businesses there are many large retail stores within “the big box” shopping district on both sides of Highway 41 that extends through town from east to west ending near Lambeau Field where it intersects Lombardi Avenue just outside downtown’s historic business district.[4]

The city also plays host every year since 1957 to one or two NFL football games played by hometown team The Packers when they play their regular season home games inside iconic stadium Lambeau Field [5], which opened up in 1957 after renovations were complete transforming what was originally known simply as City Stadium into what it stands today – famed hallowed ground among all sports fans across America . From here each fall thousands if not millions flock together wearing green gold proudly supporting “their” beloved Packer franchise while tailgating before kickoff cheering them on until time runs out!
